The aim of this course is to prepare mountaineers, for becoming potential Instructors, as for many it’s a career opportunity in mountaineering and allied sports.

 

Besides theory, detailed practical training is also imparted to trainees by giving them sufficient opportunities to handle training sessions and design training schedules and plans under close supervision of NIM instructional staff.

 

Trainees graded 'A' only in the Advance Mountaineering Course from NIM, HMI Darjeeling, JIM Pahalgam, ITBP training Auli, ABVIMAS Manali and SGMI Gangtok, AMI, Siachen and HAWS Gulmarg are eligible for this course.
